Pustular Psoriasis Symptoms

Hi!

I am so thankful to have found this site and looking forward to learning from all of you!
My 7 year old daughter has been diagnosed with pustular psoriasis – affecting just one foot. She regularly breaks out with liquid-filled bubbles that itch like the dickens! Then they rupture and crust over and dry out, leaving the foot scaly.
The 2 MD’s we have visited are telling me she needs to be on steroids (NO!) and have given me a prescription for a topical liquid called Drysol that burns terribly when applied. I am told there is nothing preventative that can be done unless I am willing to put her on steroids indefinitely…
I have not been successful in finding anything that can help her – nor do I understand this disease and what causes it. We routinely use more holistic treatments, but I am at a loss here in finding information on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Pustular Psoriasis Symptoms – Answer
Psoriasis is a challenging disorder but if you are willing to investigate the different therapies and search out a qualified doctor, you _can_ get it under control. Most likely you will have to investigate and alternate between therapies, with an eye to finding those that are effective and that have minimal side effects.
I suggest you start by checking the National Psoriasis Foundation’s Psoriasis website
